Does anyone belong to IL as I do. Speaking to some people while I was in Saliones, I didn't get good vibes though one lady was a guest speaker at the Ecuador conference. IL is offering their "Platinum Circle" at a drastic discount only till midnight tonight. Is it worth it.

RGOUL.....RUN! RUN as fast as your little legs will carry you to an expat bar/ burger joint. Then hire an English speaking driver for $50.00 and lunch. OR take Susan (AKA OCEANHIDEAWAY) out for dinner if she's in town or one of the other Salinas bloggers on this forum. Ask and yee shall receive. If we were there we would take you around but have to give to you a rain check. : >)))

There is a reason we call it International Lying around these parts...
Most of the writing these days is at least done by folks who live in the areas they wrote about but even then it is a tad sugar coated.
And while they don´t directly sell real estate, they get a kick back from their "real estate professionals" on each sale, run tours, and of course sell their magazine.
Basically, your gut instinct is correct. It is a con job.

Thanks everyone for the insight. I've read a lot of good stories in there magazines and that's how I ended up going to Ecuador 2 years ago to check it out. I loved it and want to go back. Been trying to sell my place here in Canada for the past 2 years so that I can return to Ecuador and apply for residency. IL's "Platinum Circle" was a bit rich even at a drastic discount of $2500. Just as well, the offer ended last night. $2500 can buy a lot of cervezas, eh!

So what did this "Platinum Circle" give you? I am really curious to find out what they could actually sell to anyone for what amounts to a 2 month luxury stay in Ecuador.

I Googled "international living platinum circle" out of curiosity earlier. My gosh it sounds like such a scam. Oh you have 3 choices also, you can go big for 3k! Fools and their money.
