Howz the fishing down there lately? Does it seem more or less normal? Very scarce up here in Panama waters.......I would like to hear from somebody who lives in or near a fishing village along the coast of Ecuador.....not some flake up in the cordillera who lives on pork and beans.........Como esta la pesca? Todavia bueno, bonito y barato.......o se esta convertiendo a un lujo en Ecuador?

Best way to fish DL, is ya walk down to the beach and approach any small bota coming ashore with a couple a dollars in your hand;~) And for God's Sake don't even *think* of having a couple a beers if you do fish - the Ecuadoran Navy will harpoon ya and hand over your remains to the "Indigenous people" for use as bait;~O

Neither one of you answers my question........Is the fishing normal down there? Is there plenty of tuna and dorado available on the local market....? Yes, the big fish warehouse and fabrica that Correa built in Manta......Thats a major center for the fishing fleet...........Is there no shortage of fish on the local market there at least along the coast.? If tuna and dorado and corvina is available there, how much does it cost? Thanks.........Im sure theres somebody out there who lives on fish like I do.............

Calling everyone in the highlands a flake and putting down commenters. Great way to get information. Now. The fishing outside of Ecuador is horrible. Please stay in Panama.

Geez, thanks for the kind words Kmor........and the more specific information which is so hard to come by for some strange reason........but lets get more specific.....Do you have yellow fin tuna and dorado there right now? Does it sell by the lb or by the kilo? Also, I was wondering about the border crossing there not too far from you.......How is it goin bak and forth between Ecuador and Peru? Is it an eazy deal? Is there any duty free mercado there at all with the typical cast of Palestinians, Syrians, and Chinese? Theres a tourist and surf town there right below the Ecuadorian border thats supposed to be real nice according to my Dutch friend whose almost as big and scary as Remoore...........I was wondering how convenient it would be to shoot back and forth across the border there.........

DL, I understand that crossing the border along the coast is problematic at best. And c'mon man, if you post on Survivor Ecuador you'll win fishing tackle and can not only catch all the mako you can handle, but use your catch to make friends and influence people.;~)

What has happened? Have you all figured that the OP is like a bug? he bites you like the little thing he is. If you keep itching it keeps bothering you. Just ignore it and it goes away.
