I'm sorry if this is totally redundant, but all I could find in the history seemed to be about someone named Minga. This is my first post and first day on this forum, so I apologize again if this is something you have answered a hundred times...please feel free to direct me to the correct link if that is that case.
So I have a felony conviction for drug possession (not trafficking or distribution) and will be on probation for that for another 6 months. I will have completed my Bachelor's degree 6 months after that (next December) and am looking to move permanently to Ecuador around the middle of 2018 (18 months from now).
So ideally I would be moving there roughly a year after completing my punishment for my infraction.
Also, I qualify for the $800 per month pensioner visa as I am retired Army and have a permanent income from my retirement and VA disability rating that is much higher than that amount.
My question is: Based on the information I have provided, is it a realistic goal to relocate there at all, and if so is the timeframe I have layed out realistic as well?
Thank you for reading this and responding.

You need to speak with a visa facilitator who has handled cases like yours, who can advise you as to how situations similar to yours have been handled in the past in her experience, and is savvy enough to know what the current climate is on success with applications with recent felonies. As I often do, I recommend Dana Cameron. Agua_plata@hotmail.com and Dana.Visas@gmail. are her email accounts.
Drop her a line.

Yes it is realistic. It is my (limited) understanding that the pertinent EC Ministry is primarily coincerned with unresolved and/or ongoing legal loose ends. (I suppose a conviction for a violent crime and/or multiple convictions may be viewed with due concern...) The farther behind you any 'incidents', the better. Good luck!
