" Might be moving to Cairo with family including young children. Need to know about English speaking schools and kindergardens, quality of English language in-patient and outpatient care, where to live in community with other expats etc. Also security issues. Is it safe? Many thanks in advance. "

" RJ, I recently relocated to Cairo myself, actually I live in Maadi a suburb. There is an excellent English school, Cairo American College, K-12. I have heard that the Medical services are fairly good here, nothing like in the States, but contacts can be made with long-time expats who know the better doctor locations. From what I''ve seen (and being prior military i tend to be overly cautious), this is a very safe place! hope that helps! deb "

" Dear Sirs, My name is Hatem Shoukry. I am Egyptian and I studied in the Conservatoire reading, writing and playing piano for kids. I give private lessons for expat children age 4-10 years boys and girls and it is a great challenge to me but I enjoy it. If you know parents who are interested please contact me on my mobile number 00-2012-2159077 "

I might be moving to Egypt within the next year and a half. Any information on how to start the process would be greatly appreciated. Also, any info on schools (colleges as well as elementary) would be great. If anyone out there is a midwife or has any information on midwifery training in Egypt please contact me. Thank you much!
