Hi everyone!

I'm moving to Cairo for a few months starting end of November. I've visited Egypt quite a few times and I know this isn't the best time to be a gay man in Egypt, but are there places or groups where gay expats can meet and socialise?
I will be moving to the Maadi area which I know is a sort of expat/westernised Egyptian bubble.

How do LGBT people living in Egypt get along?

I would NEVER reply to this question with an answer on line as it is very dangerous for gays to communicate on line with each other here still. You could be a policeman phishing, and it would just be WRONG to give out this information. My best advice is to tune in your gaydar and go out and meet expats. You'll figure it out on your own when you get here and if you are really a gay expat, good luck, BE CAREFUL and know that you will meet others in time.
