I have been dating my Egyptian boyfriend for a year . His mom and I talk well with eachother . He doesn't help with anything . I pay all the bills , buy all the food and whatever he need . He won't give me any money when I'm broke . I am well educated , mixed Black , Egyptian , native American female . I understand that his mom comes first , mine does too . We are of different religions . He's had many relationships with American females . Is there something wrong with this picture . Why he can't seem to stay in a relationship ? I don't live with him , he lives with me . He's very degrading . His mom is so sweet . Any advice ? I'm American born with mixed culture .

I can only say one thing: DON'T. You will regret it for the rest of your life. I lived there for 5 years and saw many of those marriages. Only one or two worked out and that was because the men were Bedouin who are more educated and normal. thinking
than true Egyptians.

You state all these deficiencies and need to ask what is wrong? Open your front door, kick him to the curb and change the locks and NEVER look back at that low life. You owe it to YOU to do this.
If you want to continue to pay for this man for the REST OF YOUR LIFE then by all means continue on. The writing is on the wall and flashing in BIG BOLD NEON COLOURS. I think you need to read it and act.

Is this a trick question? This is not even a close call. Of course you get along with the mother. Who would not want someone to pay all the bills and do all the work. Somehow, some way, you need a big shot of self esteem and when you get that or before, like tomorrow kick his sorry self out. You are treating yourself
Like sh÷the and at some point you need to address that. In the meantime no more men until you and your picker are fixed.

Culturally within their own culture Egyptian men DO NOT DATE. We do however men in Muslim cultures do not date. They marry a wife with a contract negotiated for her by her family. If you believe he is 'dating' you that if an erroneous idea on your part as you are applying what happens in your culture (western) to what you are doing with this man.
