Personally as a Canadian expat after living in SV for 3 1/2 yrs and having visited all the named countries, I would rate El Salvador ahead of both CR & Belize.
The only reason Canada made the list is the Nazi-style dictator has brain-washed the naive sheeple into believing his lies!

I'm a Canadian. Not sure what you are referring to? "Nazi-style dictator ..." Canada is a beautiful country to live in - I would say one of the best in the world. I don't know why you would insult your former country like that. Our standard of living is far superior to El Salvador and we have a social "safety net" that is non-existent in El Salvador. This is a travel forum isn't it? Not a political forum. Isn't there a moderator here that keeps people in line? Some of the recent posts are basically arguments between people.

What you class "arguments" are merely a resident of PlayaSan Diego refuting the scaremongering hearsay of an American who has never even visited the area, isn't that a function of a travel forum?

You are a very strange person. I am a Canadian - not a "Brit working in Canada" and I don't live in Alberta. When I have experienced being laid off in the past, thank goodness I was able to tap into Employment Insurance benefits. In El Salvador, no such thing, no safety net at all. I'm not going to be arguing with you. Buh bye.

I suggest your move abroad is to the US, make sure to buy an AK upon arrival then get a conceal carry permit for a Glock, you'll need them for protection from the trigger happy police!
