Sure if you speak fluent Spanish, have connections (cuello) and an invittion from a Company that will get you a work permit.... otherwise local English Academies will hire you at $5 a class hour working off the books, no benefits..etc. In the Call Centers of El Salvador are working for $600 Month unemployed Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers 100% bilingual, problem is they are over 35 years old and many replaced with younger workers, thousands of qualified bilingual or multilingual Salvadorans unemployed want an 'american job' stay in the usa!!!!!!

Any luck yet? I was considering one of the universities in El Salvador for its PhD program in Mathematical Computational Physics but I'm keeping my options open for other countries. From what I'm reading, Latin America isn't likely to treat a "brown person" with a Physics degree too much better than I've been treated in the USA or KKKanada.

@choctaw1997 a visitor to a neighbourhood asked a person what the neighbours were like, the person responded "what are your neighbours like" the visitor responded "not nice and rude" the person responded "you will find them the same here"

Get REAL. YOU HAVE A SCIENCE DEGREE.
That's great. But as a left brained it's important to brush up on your social skills...to get GOOD TREATMENT from others
1) do you make & hold eye contact?
2) do you speak eloquently & NOT too quickly?
3) communicating WELL with others requires practice. Often left brain scientist males underestimate the power of communication & don't VALUE skills to better connect with others. Blaming your skin color is a cop out.
Learn new & better communication skills & they present a more positive attitude by first
looking within. This you CAN change. It's the realm of REALITY wherever.....you go.

Constantly amazed at the ignorance and rudeness I see on here. It is, however, difficult for an American to work here with so much unemployment. Call centers are an option and 600.00 a month here is middle class but you will need fluent Spanish. My suggestion would be to try and work remotely with American clients. With a degree in Accounting you could secure private clients that you could do their books remotely or I am also certain that some tax preparers may be willing to let someone work remotely. I would also research the American companies that have a presence here and see what they have to offer but you will also need Spanish for that. Good luck to you and welcome to a lovely country
