We are considering a multi-year move to Fiji next year from the United States and our 12 yr old daughter is NOT on board. I would love her to be able to chat with some other kids who have moved abroad, for them to share what is great, and also commiserate on how hard it is to leave. If you have kids who might be willing to get in contact, I would be so appreciative.

Hi,
We are moving too this year October to Fiji from Hawaii. Where are u guys moving from? As soon as u guys settle down in Fiji, what usually helps is getting kids involved in the local community with sports, dancing, visit a village, volunteer, etc. There are a lot of different cultures and activities that go on in Fiji all throughout the year. Thanks! We currently live in California, and I know the move would be great for her. Those were good suggestions getting her involved in local music, dancing, etc. We would likely homeschool for a year or so since there is not an international school close to where we would be. I don't think she would be keen on living away from us during the week in a dorm situation at this age.
