Tips for Living in Finland
1. Do not expect to find any work if you don't know Finnish or Swedish. If you don't know the language you need very good contacts to get a job. When you fill in job applications, you better get someone to write it for you in Finnish. In many cases the elderly people who process the applications don't know English.
2. The people are silent and not so social. In winter, the life is quiet and people spend most of their time indoors due to the darkness and cold weather. To make friends is not so easy.
3. To see something very beautiful, do wandering in Lapland in autumn.
4. Study. Education is free.
5. In summer, you can for example visit various music festivals (Provinssi rock, Qstock, Tuska festival, World village festival etc.) or book a summer cottage, get a rod&reel and go fishing.
