Can kids attend school?

I'm interested in relocating to Finland and imagine I'd only be there on a Visa for a while. Will my children be able to go to school during that time? They speak only English and are middle school age in the states.

So, do you still have this question? There are very few schools who teach in Engish - a couple private schools in Helsinki and Tampere. If you don't enroll your kids in a private school, then they will have to go to public school and they will have to learn Finnish. You can't live in Finland on a Visa unless it is a student visa or a work permit. You apply through the Finnish consulate in the country where you reside. Very few visas are granted unless you have a job offer, are a student, or married to a Finn.
