" I recently moved to Paris due to my husband job. Currently, I am unemployed and I would like to find a job in Paris. I used to work for an Oil Company as a Operations Coordinator in Mexico, also I have a marketing degree. I do speak Spanish and English and French (not perfect yet but working on it). I do have a work permit to work in France so if you now about any possibility please let me know. In the mean time I would like to find girl friends who are in the same situation as me. Married with a lot of spare time and willing to spend it together here in Paris. Thanks for your help!. Gabriela. "

" Hi Gabriela, Finding friends in your situation in Paris is a piece of cake. I would first suggest going over the list of organizations here on Expatexchange. Most of the groups I listed myself. My personal favorite, however, is WICE. I''ve met most of my friends here through WICE by volunteering. I know you are job hunting, but while you look, definitely consider putting in at least a couple of hours at WICE. You could, for example, work at the front desk for 1 shift (4 hours) each week. It''s a great way to meet everyone! Otherwise there are tons of other tasks from advertising sales, web site, program organization...the list goes on. And most importantly it''s a great bunch of people. Plus I swear, the more you know people, the easier it is to get a job. As for getting the job, I don''t know of anything off hand, but I''ll certainly keep it in mind. Try getting the newpaper ""Carrieres et Emplois"" or ""Recrut"" magazine. Actually if you go to a good newsstand they''ll have several publications. It sounds like you have some excellent qualifications so I can''t imagine you''ll have a hard time. By the way, what country are you from originally? Good luck and please let me know if there is anything I can help you with. I LOVE Paris! Diana "

" Thanks Diana, I was thinking myself to pay a visit to WICE, but I do not know why I was hesitated. I will do it. I do love Paris as welll however, it is not the same strolling by yourself and do it with somebody, so I think that is my mayor problem right now. Answering to your question I am originally from Mexico and married to an English-Yugoslavian man. Again, thanks. Gabriela. "

" Hello Gabriela, I am an American, married to a Spaniard, currently living near Toluca. We are hoping to hear very soon that our summer transfer to Paris has finally been approved. There is a Yugoslav woman, married to a Mexican, living in the 16th. She is new and loves exploring Paris. Email me at planesd@fsi001.flightsafety.com for more on her, or anything else. Hope to hear from you. "
