We're going to be putting together an article entitled, 10 Tips for Living in France, and we need your help. Please post a reply to this thread with as many tips as you'd like (or as few) for expats living in France. I can only think of one tip for the moment but I will try to come up with some more (and maybe more useful one). don't be surprised if people at work are friendly but keep their distance. It is not common to mix family life and work life.

as a general rule of thumb, it costs around 20 euros per square meter to rent an appartment in Paris for a long term rental.
