Need help registering car

Hello all,

I have a situation and need some help if anyone is able to help me….

I purchased a car in Hossegor in France in October last year.
When i purchased the car i did not know very much about the process involved in registering it and obtaining a Carte Gris etc. and i still do not know very much about it. I signed the appropriate documents with the previous owner and took the documents i needed from him but that's where it ends. I did not take the documents to the prefecture or appropriate institute or go through the correct process to register it.
I had only planned on having the vehicle for 1 month and then selling it on after that but i still have the car today. I've been travelling through Portugal/Spain/Morocco and have been very lucky to avoid the authorities as my car is definitely not legally allowed on the road.
I know it is incredibly stupid of me to have done what i've done but i would now like to make the car legal and be able to continue driving it throughout Europe legally.
I am in Spain at the moment and would like to know if anybody knows if it is possible to make my car legal and what i might have to do to do this?? Would it be possible to do anything in Spain or Portugal or will i need to return to France?
