" Hi there, Is there anyone here living in Wiesbaden (nr. Frankfurt)? My husband has *suddenly* been offered a contract there for a couple of months and I''ll be going with him. The thing is that we''re leaving probably as early as (gulp!) this Friday (Jan 26th) so I have almost no time to prepare. I''m English and have been to Germany before but don''t speak much German... (though I''d like to learn!) I don''t know anyone who lives anywhere even remotely near to Wiesbaden so if anyone there is looking to meet up for a few hours/days sightseeing, or - especially - any German person is looking for someone to practice their English on, please do get in touch!! Also, please get in touch if you know anything about the city and have some recommendations etc. Can anyone recommend a German language school in Wiesbaden? E-mail me on: lucydmoss@hotmail.com Look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks! Lucy "

" There are several ''sprachenschulen'' in Wiesbaden including Berlitz: 0611-371061 and InLingua 0611-373005. I took lessons from a company in Wallau near Wiesbaden called Fit for Germany, 06122-17395 and highly recommend them. They sponsor a free workshop on living in Germany through the International School Wiesbaden and quite a few of the moms at the school take lessons through them. They can even arrange lessons in your home if that''s easier. There''s a British Womens Club in Wiesbaden - I can give you a contact number if you e-mail me. Sonia Daily (germandaily@aol.com) "
