Land cost varies depending on location. Antigua is very overpriced, 200 sq meters can run $500K and up, it's really crazy and what do you get; traffice, noise and crowded streets. Sure it's pretty/

I strongly recommend renting here and looking around slowly, there are some great deals. The best deals are made directly with the owner. Right now it looks like a buyers market.

I built a spreadsheet to help compare, I included one sample. The sheet converts meters to fett and Queztales to Dollars. Once you have a few lot's in the spread sheet it will become obvious when you find a deal.

We already built our ingle story house, just outside of Cuidad Vieja. It was fairly easy. Took about 6 months. I have a small pickup truck and that helped.
