I just returned from Panajachel...If you are looking for cheap...try the hostels.I am not sure of the price but I know they are inexpensive OR try the B&Bs.They can be most comfortable at a reasonable price. Casa Loma.. next to the Ports Largo Hotel near the lake( ask for Jenna..She is a great source for all your needs in Pana.

I was just in Pana and found so many good deals on rooms. There are so many hotels & hostels that prices are low especially if you stay awhile or can haggle well. To name a few: El Amigo and all the hostels surrounding it. Don Pedro's was cool and I rented a room on the terrace with an outdoor kitchen.

There is no bedbug in pana. I live here for 12 years, be more respectfully this is lake atitlan not south texas
