Looking for a place in near San Cristobal Mall, or Anitigua for min. 1week or if need be a min. 1 month as I plan to visit to look aound then come back 6mths or 1yr later, unless a few things fall into place sooner.

pool or hot tub for rehab reasons if possible , or near a facitlity that can provide aquatic thereapy, very near if possible. looking for a gated community, plz.
a room rental for a week would be acceptable for my visit this time.

Nowadays you can use www.airbnb.com to get a room at private homes for a whole lot less than hotel rates any where in the world. Good luck.

Great to read you are thinking about returning. Hope all is well. I would check olx.com.gt there are rooms for rent and small apartments for rent. Also, look at El Sol the weekly San Cristobal newspaper there are always a few places to rent in that. I beleive it has an online version.

Actually a lot of the prices that people are asking on airbnb are ridiculous now and often you can most definitely get a hotel room cheaper.
You'll have to do the research.
