Rio Dulce/ El Estor is uncrowded and a very pleasant area. The lake is mostly unused. The area is protected by Guatemala Mafia. They do not tolerate problems by the Guatemalans in order to avoid unwanted police attention. We were in Guat. 12 months and enjoyed this area the most. It also was the friendliest, best priced and felt the safest...enjoy the hot springs!
