I live in La Ceiba and have found there is good health care here. A friend of mine had a heart attack last year and his total bill was under $1,000.00 USD !! Besides the low cost he was completly happy with the service.
Another friend had a reaction to a bonefish when he was snorkeling. His bill was $240.00 including his 2 day hospital stay. He was scared considering he was in a foreign country. In the end.... he was impressed as well.
