The media describes Honduras as the most dangerous country in the world; however what they miss out on is telling the truth behind all the organized crimes affecting only those involved with Norco trafficking and local gangs. Honduras offers much more than what the media perpetrates.
Honduras is located in the heart of Central America a 2 ½ hour flight from most airport of the east coast of United States. Honduras is the land of opportunity for many foreign companies with the majority from the U.S. such as; Marriott Hotels, Hyatt, Fruit of the Looms, Alcoa and many more. Honduras has the 5th largest sea port in the world and the only one in Central America with a U.S Customs operating 24 hours a day. Currently in progress is the development of a dry canal which will connect from La Union, El Salvador to Puerto Cortes, Honduras. Making it much cost effective and much less time consuming for businesses to import and export goods versus using the Panama Canal.
Of the North Coast of Honduras the Bay Island are located a few minutes from the main land. Roatan had been the most visited island by tourist, because of its beautiful turquoise waters, and stunning sunsets. Located few miles of Roatan Island are the largest reef system in the Caribbean and the second largest coral reef in the world making it a great destination for tourist from all over the world and great place for scuba diving. Certainly an experience no one can forget.
Honduras should also be known for its distinguished advanced medical clinics. Many health care treatments cost a fraction of what the cost would be in the U.S. Also medication are easy to obtain and very affordable. The cost of living is significantly cheaper allowing anyone savings to ensure a better quality of life for a longer period of time.
