Three days in San pedro sula

For reasons too boring to go into, I find myself with three days to kill in San Pedro next week. I can easily loll poolside, hang out in the bar, sleep. But I would like to get out. Any recommendations on a day tour of SAP. Would like to visit the cathedral, a museum. Anything cultural. I speak Spanish, I'm travelling alone. And I know it's not a touristic place, it's dangerous, yadda, yadda. Advice only please.

Take a bus to Copan - wonderful, charming town - as you might know, an archeological park, Macaw Mountain and a Luna Jaguar Hot Springs. All very excellent,, only a 2 hours ride from San Pedra Sula.

Thank you Peggy. Copan is a good option, however I'm looking for something within the city. I went to Copan last year and enjoyed it immensely.
