MBA in Hong Kong

I am an American living in Hong Kong and want to pursue my Graduate Degree while here in Hong Kong for 2 years. My Undergrad was earned at a US University.
I have found that many local Universities (such as HKU) focus on Asian business, which is not necessarily my career focus. I would, however, like to earn a credible degree showing diversity from my original course of study. I am looking for advice from anyone that has weighed the pros/cons to receiving a distance MBA through an American school versus a Hong Kong University, European or Australian. Since I'm American native, is it more highy regarded to stick with American-based accredited curriculum or to present an 'overseas' MBA?

Sounds like you know what you are doing. Programs run from the US$70,000 Exec MBA at UST done with Kellogg to dozens of small schools making a buck. Read the Education section in the Saturday SCMP for current programs. I have friend who did the Southern Illinois Distance degree and liked it very much. Contact me directly and I wll give you his e-mail address. Just make sure you talk to graduates both here and in U.S. School will provide you with some names, I am sure. Check the school out on the web. There are hundreds of sites that rate MBA programs, some good some not so good. Use Google. Lastly, after 30 years in HR, I know the truth is that any MBA will do once you've started working. I'm attending CUHK in Cultural Anthropology and loving it. I think you are really missing an opportunity by not attending one of the HK schools if you can. They are good. P.S. my wife is a UCLA GSM grad (top 10 school) and she absolutely agrees with me.
