RENUMERATION
The company offered a salary structure that separates net salary from housing, health care and travel allowances. My questions are:

1. I know US taxes separately on housing allowances for overseas citizens, but does it tax the travel allowances the same way? Does HK tax the travel allowances the same way as net salary?

2. What is a norm for travel allowances, once a year, twice a year? what class of services? My role is a manager level for an established hotel company. What is the normal travel allowances, and are they obligated for all the family members?

3. Do I have to close out all the bank accounts in US in order to be qualified for overseas US citizen status, in order to get the overseas housing allowances?

4. Is there a tax agreement between US and HK that US can keep track of my employment in HK which pays HK dollars?

5. What is the cost for preparing overseas income tax?

HEATLH CARE
My questions are:

1. the company offers group plan, after I repatriact to USA when the assign in HK is over, will the US group plans from the future US companies recognize the HK group plan coverage to waive the pre-existing conditions, like the way we are protected by the COBRA in US?

2. Is it common for HK companies to impose 3 month waiting before offering health plans coverage?

Thanks!!
