hi everybody
I would like to ask if i can get an address card without rent a flat.
Im living in a hostel but i really need an address .
any ideas?

Likely NO! Hotels/hostels are considered too temporary. Usually they want to see that you own a house/apartment or you have a contract for one as a renter and the owner has to sign papers to that effect. I think they pretty strict about that. On the one year residency you get a paper one that immigration will tell you is your "address card" but really it is not. It is only a documentation confirming that you declared an address. You won't get a REAL address card until you get a longer stay permit, i.e. 5 years. But in Hungary things change all the time so who knows!

well can you get your residence permit to stay in Hungary for 1yr with a hotel address?

and then when you rent or own a place get your address card?
