We are currently living in Bulgaria and thought about relocating to Hungary and have to say was quite looking foward to it, but have just spoken to a couple who tried Hungary and does not have a good word to say about it, if you live rural, saying they were not welcomed in the 3 villages they tried at all. What i am asking is some truthful facts about living rural

Is it a matter of nationality? What nationality are you?

Hungarians are strange sometimes. Wile they can be good hearted and helpful they are also fiercely nationalistic. They often pull together as a nation but abroad they take advantage of each other. Go figure!
In a small village a foreigner will stick out more so than in a large city or along Balaton Lake where a lot of foreigners vacation. Many foreigner have good experiences but it depends on a lot of things not at least "one's expectations"!
