Homeschooling Child/standardized testing?

Hi Gang,

Anyone know anything about standardized testing for homeschooled kids who live outside the US?

When my daughter and I move back to Himachal, I intend to homeschool her part-time. Does she need to be tested yearly? What organization issues tests?

Does anyone have any experience sending their kids to local schools in India and homeschooling simultaniously?(don't look too close at my speeeling)LOL? I want to send my daughter to TCV, Tibetan Children's Village. Her dad is from Tibet. The school has a reputation for being at 70% of American academic standards.

Are tutors a good option? If so, how is the issue of discipline dealt with?

Thank you
