I am a US citizen that has been living in India for about 2 years. I really think you will enjoy Bangalore, although traffic can be quite congested at times.

It takes about 6 months to get used to Indian life both personally and professionally, but it is not too difficult of a transition. I am not sure what questions or concerns that you have, but if you let me know then I will try to respond accordingly.

Also I have assisted some US & Foreign Nationals in the past in finding jobs in India. As a secondary income, I act as a recruiter for Indian companies wishing to hire foreign national employees.
