My 5 year old son has asthma and the family are going to be relocated to Gurgaon next year. Does anybody have any advice on where and how best to live in on the most polluted cities in the world?

Hi, I am in Gurgaon too and my 3 year young daughter has Bronchial Asthama too!

Gurgaon is no doubt like a construction site. If you can stay in South west delhi areas like Vasant Vihar, shanti niketan, anand niketan, westend...will be good.

You may contact me for further enquiries as I help in the mobility services for expats...

I have asthma myself and I am currently working in Mumbai. One thing I felt is that you need a car with AC (so you can close the windows). Traffic is very bad at some times and I got very bad crisis when travelling exposed with an “auto rickshaw” or a bike.

The humidity doesn’t help either so get one dehumidifier for your house.

Good luck!

Delhi is "blessed" with a surplus of fine particulate matter suspended in the air we breathe. The a/c car is a great idea, otherwise I use a surgical mask if travelling in an open vehicle. Whereas all my relations are in Delhi, I refused to settle there, I am in Chandigarh area. What an improvement!
On the same topic, you should try Vasaka (adhatoda vasika), big help with brochial problems.

Dust is a problem and more during changing seasons, its best to buy a few high need air purifiers for the house and they really help and keeps the environment dust free.

Hi Mils and others who visit this thread.

I stay in Delhi & my daughters was suffering from chronic allergic bronchitis and was on regular antibiotics resulting in her immunity going down. I was searching for a non medical solution to this problem. Finally I installed a air purifier at home and there was a lot of relief in my daughter's condition. She is able to carry out her activities normally now. I thought I should help others know about this solution so I started a new venture. Please see below website and call me to assist you further.
