Washing Powder Woes

Post New Topic

Hi,

I'm travelling to Mumbai in December for 6 months. The accommodation I will be staying in has access to a washing machine. My issue is, I have very sensitive skin and at home can only use non-bio washing powder. My partner is already in Mumbai and has said that he is yet to see anything resembling this. Can anybody shed some light on the situation for me? What are your experiences? and what is the best powder to use in your opinion?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Emily

Hi Emily,
While I did not look for washing powder in India, I loved all the natural soaps, hair & skin products that are available there.
Look for soap nuts, which are actual nuts that I have bought in Indian groceries in the US so I think they might be available and used in India. You can use them as laundry soap, people usually put them in mesh bags, and they can be used many times. Lot of info on the internet with other uses if you do a search. I use them in the laundry for gentle washes.
