I have been working for ELC which is based in West Jakarta for around 4 months. It's an agency that farms teachers to schools surrounding the greater Jakarta area. They have been dragging there feet in regards to helping me get a working visa and the last few days the owner of the company asked me to go to Immigration to collect my passport which he said was ready. In fact when I got there it had not been paid for and the visa agent was not to be found. I was fired today because I has asked for the day off to try and deal with the visa problem. So now trying to figure out how to find a decent employer in Jakarta. I have Tesol, no degree but working on a diploma in Management. I was working at two different schools both very good and did well. Been here 4 months, still cant get a bank account or health Insurrance.
