I have been in Bali for 7 weeks, during that time I got to know a little dog called Ricky at the entrance to the place I'm staying, he was just a puppy, About 2 hours ago, he was killed. Ive been out here thinking about setting up a business, today I decided its not for me. I understand completely the need to control rabies, they need to sort the problem at source, not just this indiscriminate killing when expats and tourists complain, they should be the ones putting pressure on the government to find a better, more humane solution, it wouldnt be that difficult to issue a dog license programme like many other countries instead of allowing the poorest of people here to have dogs when many cant feed their families. I'm disgusted by what I have seen happen here today.
