" hi! I just wanted a little bit of info on moving to Ireland. First, just how hard is it to find a job? if a person is well-qualified, would finding work still be difficult? Also, what are the requirements for citzenship? if a person can trace their roots back to Ireland within the last century, will that qualify them for citizenship? is there any great demand for journalists over there? one more very important thing, what are the laws on bringing pets into the country? " Unfortunately, bringing pets into Ireland is not easy. They have a very strict quarantine due to the fact that this is a rabies-free island. I wanted to bring my dog but soon found out that there is a 6 month quarantine. Considering she is twelve years old, I decided not put her through that and left her with very close, long-time friends (they are also vets). Good luck on finding a job. I would say get one before coming so they can work out your work visa details beforehand,getting one after arrival is difficult. My company transferred me here but my wife is really having a hard time. Good Luck! "
