What is the feasibility of an early retired teacher located in the UK retiring to the republic any quiet area and the more rural the better!!. I have a tax free income of approx $825.00 (Sterling) to play with and woulkd prefer to rent as I have absolutely no ties and am single. Basic accomodation is really all that is needed. " Well, Here''s a start: If you are really interested in staying out of the cities, than forget about Dublin, Waterford, Limerick, Cork, Galway and Waterford. Try northern County Clare, Connemara, Lough Inagh Valley and around Kylemore Lake. You can find a place for between 350-625 Irish pounds in a rural area, depending upon the kind of place you want to rent. Hope this helps! "

" I saw that you are interested in retiring in the Republic and I thought you might be interested in buying my car. Please excuse me if you aren''t interested. Here''s the info:Hello. Is anyone moving to Ireland who wants a car? I''ve got a 1989 Volkswagon Golf that''s automatic & has a 1.8 liter engine. It''s got about 70,000 miles on it and it wasn''t used much during the first half of its life because it was owned by someone in central London. I''m only selling it because I''m moving back to the US. It is very dependable &, in the past 3 years, I have only had to replace its battery. Most cars here are manual so an automatic is hard to find and the 1.8 engine makes insurance more expensive but also makes it very easy to pass other cars on major national routes. I''m leaving Ireland on July 24th so, if you''re interested, please email me fast! Thanks. (raybrigkelly@eircom.net) good luck. -Brighid "
