" To import a car, it depends if you want to register it in Israel, or keep it as a duty free car. If you want to register it, you have to pay tax on the car. The tax is based on the value of the car in Israel. The car is also not allowed to be older than 4 years. If you want to bring it in as a duty free car, you can do so. You are allowed to keep the car in your passport for 6 monts (12 if you pay a tax deposit). After that you have to bring the car out of the country (Cyprus) and in again on e.g. your spouse passport.
