I'm also moving to Tel Aviv in January 2012 (and am a woman). I'm currently here for a week looking around etc. My limited experience so far is that being a woman is absolutely fine.

Hello,
Im currently in process of getting ready to go and live in Israel. I have jewish roots but without prove (my family hide it before holocaust) so basically im considered non jewish.

Is there a way how to stay longer than three months on basic visa and also work legally?(Im from europian union) I have boyfriend there and i would like to stay as long as i can as fast as I can.(We had been together almost a year)
As a woman have you experienced any trouble finding work? And basically without hebrew is there a possibility to find work at all?

Whataboutsusan is your boyfriend Jewish? If so you may be eligible to Citizenship under the Israeli Law of return. Your boyfriend should be able to find out for you!
