Just moved to Rome two weeks ago and I''m wondering if people are happy with their ISPs. I''m now using AOL Globalnet but that tends to be very expensive. Do you get what you pay for here? Any advice appreciated. Thanks. Francesca Kelly Editor Tales from a Small Planet www.talesmag.com

" Try tiscali.it - it''s free, has a lot of local access numbers, and even has some sort of credit program to minimise cost of your phone time on line. Also, telecom italia has a couple of programs where you pay between 10-18 thou lire per billing period for a very notable reduction on calls to your declared isp. jennifercarey@bigfoot.com if you have any more questions. good luck. jennifer "

" Thanks, belatedly, to those who gave me advice on ISPs. I''m getting several of the free e-mail accounts and we''ll see how it goes. Cheers, Francesca "
