Getting mail forwarded to Italy

What has worked for you to have mail forwarded to you from your home country to Italy? We'll be in Italy 2 years at this point, then where, who knows. I see ads for companies that do this........What have been your most successful ways to get mail/bills/packages?

Hi, I think it all depends which country you are moving from, I moved from Uk to Italy and used royal mails redirection service for 6 months, it worked very well and mail was received within 5 days .

Hello, I have been having my mail forwarded from LA for about two years using the US postal Service blue, red & white 3-day Priority envelope. I costs 11 dollars and usually arrives in about 5 days. Dont have any one send you anything else but mail in the envelope, especially textiles. When we tried that, sometimes the envelopes were opened by the postoffice in Italy, and we were charged an import tax of 20-30 euros.
