My son (11 years) and I arrived in Verona a year ago and now that we have settled in well we'd love to meet other families with kids among the Verona expats community. I look forward to your hints/guidance. Ciao

Hello, I realize your post is from a while ago, but we are embarking on a year long stay in Italy and have Verona on our list of possible places. Could you share your experience and if you feel it is a good city to select in general and if you were a family with 2 kids under 5. Thanks so much, Scott

Scott,
Verona is delightful, sophisticated, good food, culture. For me, a Floridian, it is too cold, which is why we live in Puglia. I think it would be a lovely place to live with children because you walk or take the bus almost anywhere and there is much to do -- ancient ruins, modern theater, classical music. It's a great choice.

Scott, I'm curious... are you and your wife EU citizens? If not, how were you able to get a visa for a year without already having a place to live? Many of us would like to know how to do so! :-)
