My mother (only US citizen) recently bought a house in Italy and got "residenza elettiva" but didn't stay the 183 days because she had to return to the US when she became sick. I have paid her IMU and local property taxes as a non-resident (she lost the RE when she couldn't renew her permesso) but am wondering what other tax obligations she may have.

I am in a similar situation and pay only the taxes you mention. They did however start automatically deducting the TV tax from my Enel electricity bill, and have now applied for a refund based on the fact that I do not own a TV (in Italy). Let's see how that goes!
