Apostille

Does anyone know if I need a power of attorney to be apostilled for buying a house? Both of us will not travel to sign the deed.

What other documents are good to have apostilled before moving to Italy ? Do they have to translated first? ( birth, marriage certificates) I figured I'd do them all at once.

Thanks!

All non shengen documents you may want to use need apostills , translation and legalization (certification of the translation). Birth, marriage and death certificates are most important.
As far as your home buying, I'll let somebody else answer that.

Yes, you do need the power of attorney Apostilled. They call it a Procura in Italy. Your agent can probably get one drafted for you.
