I am an American woman who is planning on moving in Abidjan, but am concerned about the safety of expat woman in Abidjan and Ivory Coast in general.

Please let me know your personal experience or advice.

I am a young woman and have lived in CoteD'ivoire for 3 months now. I have found everyone really friendly and willing to help out. I have not yet takin a taxi alone, but I do not speak French well so that is one reason. I have been told though that I should not take a taxi alone at night. Other than that I do not feel any that I should be in danger or take any more precautions than what I was taking for living as a young woman in America.

hi my girlfreinds from ivory coast coming to the uk for a holliday what i want to know is ime considering moving to ivory coast with her 1 day i work inj construction plastering roofing and various building work is there much work in this sector in ivory coast seriously thinking of relocating there to be with her
