Dear Sandeep,
My response could be a bit late and you might be already in Abidjan. However, here is some info you might need to know. In case your company is deducting the tax from your salary, it would be 6,5 %, if i am not mistaken. But some companies pay the tax for you. Please, consult with your company wether you will have to pay the tax or not. Its good that your company is providing accomodations for you, since housing is one of the biggest expenses you would have to pay in case your company was not providing it. Food is also expensive. It is 10-30 times more expensive than in India so again, it depends how you manage. You can spend 100.000 cfa =200$ on food per month, or 1000$ if your like to go out and eat out. Once you come, i am sure your collegues will show you the places where you can eat cheap. Also try to find supermarkets where the prices are not that high. Among the most expensive supermarkets are Hayatt and Prima. You may go to Discount, they sell in wholesale sometimes, its just opposite hayatt. Good luck,
Tamara
