Dear Junam,
Its really a shame that you dont have anyone to hang out with. I was in this situation when I just arrived to Abidjan, but I was a bit lucky since there was a russian girl living in the same building as we were.
The number of a church which I posted was given to me by one of my students whose mother is working in a church. I asked him about the number, he said his mom was away but she is back.
As for the Eastern africans, I dont really know anyone...But you may meet them at classichash which i wrote about before. Their website is www.abidjanclassichash.com or at a wednesday tea club which Sylvia wrote about in one of her posts. Never attended one but I might go once.

Most of them are located in your or nearby area so you won't even spend much on transportation. The school year starts in September but you may sort out your resume now and apply for the next year. It would be better if someone translates your CV in French. I think your husband should help you out with this by asking his collegues since he is interacting more with people outside. He may also ask them the exact address of those schools, they should know it. Unfortunatly i can not explain or give all that information since I live in a completely different part of the city.Aks you husband to drop you to one of the schools, there will always be people who speak or understand english and they will help you out. Dont worry!
