Having spent over a year here- I would like to let new comers know the true facts. Francophone Africa and particularly Ivory Coast is very different to any other part of Africa.
If you are not a French speaker it is very difficult as they do not welcome and nor friendly towards non speakers. Housing is awful, maids and drivers can be troublesome and be careful when firing them make sure you get every salary slip signed- they take people to court with a whole lot of lies. Ill mannered whether they are educated or not and very arrogant- people .Please be prepared- from a person who is not newto Africa- this is a real eye opener.
