I am still finalising with my employer (place to live, schools, etc...). It looks like renting something will be around 2500 dollar or more a month for a family.
Where are you staying (Kingston??) and for how long?
What advice are you looking for? We have not fully decided to take up the offer, but have already acquired a lot of information.

am I correct in assuming that you mean us dollars? or is it jamaican dollars or what? also what type of budgeting should I be doing. I have been told freeport is the are I am going to. Other things I am curious about are things like transportation costs. I understand roads and driving is much to be desired so cab fare?

Please let me know where you found your info. I am also now curious as to a work visa. I understand most parts of it but am wondering how long the process takes and or if I am able to work during the waiting time. I will me moving to montigo bay area and have found a place to live but now curious as to where to go what to do that will not break the bank. I wanna stay away from the tourist area as much as possible.
