Hi,

My husband and I are looking at taking up job offers in Kingston Jamaica in the next two months. However, we are really concerned and are looking for some advice about Crime Levels and the Health System.

Additionally, the job comes with an accomadation allowance of 2900 USD per month...is this enough to rent a decent house in a safe neighbourhood?

I suppose our biggest worry is, is Jamaica a nice place to live?

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Cristina

Hey, my boyfriend and I are Aussies and thinking of moving to Jamaica as well. There are some great opportunities in his field.

What is the deal with the Jamaican visas? Can Aussies work in Jamaica?

And do most companies pay in Jamaican dollars? Are there many large American companies who recruit Aussies wanting to work in Jamaica?

Last but not least, what would be a good wage in Jamaica for young professionals (eg engineer)?

Thanks for helping me out...
