For the last couple of years I have kept a pretty active blog on Moving Back to Jamaica after 21 years of living in the U.S.

It has been a mixed bag of experience, and much tougher for my wife who has lived in the US since she was 9.

I have tired to record my experiences with fresh eyes (which has not always been possible) but my wife will, for example, point out a goat, dog, cat, pig, cow or chicken in the road and point out to me that she never saw any of that in the road in Washington DC....

And of course she is right.

Hello Francis,

Great blog. I have read it for sometime now and I am moving to Jamaica also. I think the goats in the road are better than some of the people you see on the streets of DC. Don't you?
