Hi I lived in Sheffield, which is 10 minutes away from Negril. We lived there for two years from 2002 until 2004. My son who was 4 at the time and he went to White House school, which is in Negril, for 1 year and then we changed him to Green Island School. They are both good schools. We changed him from White House school there were more expats in Green Island and we thought our son would connect more with expat children. Another reason we changed schools was because we wanted to meet new people. It was hard for us to find friends in Jamaica so we thought if we sent our son to a school with expats it would result in us meeting new friends. You have no worries about primary schools its secondary schools that are difficult to find because they are so far from Negril. I intend to return to Jamaica in Jan 2011 and my son will be 13 and I think I may have to move to Whitehouse or Mandaville this time because it seems thats where the good secondary schools are.
Out of couriosity what will you be doing in Jamaica?
Best regards I hope I've helped.
