Where are you from? Do you know the area? Have you travelled there before? What area of Kingston will you be working in and living in? Kingston is a pretty big area and like everywhere else there are places that are better than others... Common sense needs to come into okay always and street smarts too. Do you have a network of friends there? Or are you coming in blind to everything? Just a few thoughts for you. When I travel to Kingston, I don't feel unsafe but I am familiar with the area and have contacts in there, plus I have learned where to ho and where to avoid...it's really a learning process.

I too am considering a move to Kingston. Spent two weeks there recently. I am taking the learn as much as possible ,go slow apporach. I appreciate your advice.

It is safe to work in kingston. Just make sure you live in a good area and dont wear jewelry or act like "dumb rich blonde tourist girl. Stay in groups. Now after you know the area. You should be ok.
